Carrie is an experienced stylist of eighteen years.  She excels in haircutting, coloring and styling.  She loves doing special occasion styles such as wedding updos or simply for a night out on the town.  “It is very rewarding to make a person feel beautiful,” she says, “…that is what creates a memorable experience.”  She also loves coloring hair because of the process it involves: part scientist and artist.  Sometimes it is challenging work, but that is what makes coloring fun and unique.  Carrie’s history includes working at Jung Ja’s for five years before moving to Simonson’s for eight more years.  There, her skills and training involved creating and demonstrating artistic work on stage and participating in the development of hair shows and classes.  From there she made the beneficial move to independent styling when Onyx opened in 2007.  She is currently an independent part-time stylist at Onyx where the stylists also hold a manager’s license.  For her, being a hairstylist integrates skill, creativity and building customer relationships.
